While at The Prudential in the 1980s, Bill Treloar became one of their foremost experts in the DataEase application development environment. He developed a number of challenging and productive DataEase database applications covering everything from hospital audit monitoring and reporting to marketing analyses. He even developed a DataEase system for distribution to a large number of Prudential's group insurance clients to facilitate their complex monthly reporting requirements. Most recently, Bill has developed and marketed REPROD, a DataEase application for compliance with a state educational requirement for NJ school systems.
While Treloar Associates has done (and continues to do) work with other database and related programs such as Microsoft Access and Crystal Reports the company is still heavily involved in developing and supporting many applications in various versions of the DataEase product. DataEase provides an unparalleled level of development efficiency in Rapid Application Development (RAD) for most data-intensive business applications. While Sapphire International, the publishers of DataEase, have announce that they will no longer support the DOS versions of the DataEase product after December 31, 2002, there are still many viable, business-critical applications in use that employ the solid technology of the DataEase DOS product. While some of those applications may warrant being upgraded to the Windows version of DataEase, many can continue to be supported by Treloar Associates for years to come without the necessity of an involved rewrite to the Windows product. If you do feel the need to upgrade your DOS application to windows, who better than people with intimate familiarity with both the DOS and Windows versions of DataEase?
