Treloar Associates Launches REPROD
for New Jersey School Districts
January, 2001
As of the current school year, the New Jersey State Department of Education
has implemented a new program requiring all public school teachers to take at
least 100 hours of continuing education within five years. School districts
across the state are charged with monitoring teacher compliance within their
districts and working with teachers to ensure compliance is achieved by the end
of the five years. REPROD (named for the Required Professional
Development regulations) is designed to ease that monitoring
responsibility for boards of education and school system administrators.
REPROD will track all teacher professional development activities,
both approved and non-approved. It will alert you to teachers who may be
struggling to meet the requirement, allowing you time to work with them to
assure compliance is achieved. And it provides full documentation of all
teachers' professional development courses, seminars and workshops.
Features:
- Tracks authorized providers and their activity offerings
- Automatically calculates the end date for teachers, including those
starting after September 1, 2000
- Accommodates fractional requirements for part-time staff
- Tracks all professional development activities, completion dates, and
hours
- Allows for activities with fractional hours
- Displays years left until the deadline
- Displays number of remaining hours needed
- Calculates average hours per year needed from present date forward to
achieve compliance
- Prints "Certificates of Completion" for your in-house
professional development
- Includes comprehensive reports and alerts
The price for the initial offering of this program is only $995 plus
installation and training. Additional database user licenses may be required for
multiple concurrent users. And customization is available for your school system's
unique needs.
